Sadam Resort Area

Sadam Valley in Goesan lies beneath Mount Nakyeong, a branch of the Sobaek Mountains, where weathered rocks, old pine trees, clear water and white sand form a scenic landscape. The cliffs bear the inscription "Sadam Dongcheon" in the handwriting of Song Si-yeol (pen name Uam). The valley takes its name from its many sand bars and small pools that follow one another, and it has more sand than gravel. In summer, visitors can swim and catch freshwater snails, and the sandy bottom is safe for the feet. Lodging such as minbak guesthouses is available nearby.
