Amnok Resort Area

Amnok Resort Area, where the Seomjin and Boseong rivers meet, is a famous summer retreat with a wide sandy beach of about 30,000 pyeong. Families come to camp here because mosquitoes are few in summer, and the Banwol Bridge and railway bridge spanning the river add to the scenery. The lower Boseong River is popular with anglers, and the river offers swimming, leisure boating, water skiing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking and rafting. A legend says General Gang Gamchan once camped here with his mother, and when mosquitoes kept her awake, he shouted and sealed their mouths. About 150 meters past Amnok Bridge, on the right, is Amnok Sangsang School, an indoor hands-on experience space.
